A wealth of ideas for educational tourism
Rich in history and culture, traditions and natural peculiarities, Sulcis Iglesiente is the ideal means for educational trips for schools of every level.

The numerous archaeological sites are an opportunity to directly get to know the history of Sardinia, as well as the ancient castles, the beautiful churches, some of which date back the mediaeval times.
The mining industry in the area has also left important signs and has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage site: a guided visit to the mines (sometimes carried out by ex-miners themselves) and the relevant museums is fundamentally educational and demonstrates the importance of mining in the creation of the identity of Sardinia itself.

The different ethnographical museums of the Province are able to give an exhaustive picture of the traditions and productive activities of the area during pre-industrial times.
